Look at me - I am monitor free!

Even though Emma set the alarm off last week, the doctor agreed that she is ready to come off the monitor completely. Emma now weighs 10lbs 1oz and is 21 1/2 inches.

Not to be out done, James wanted to sit in his bumbo seat also.

James doing a little tummy time on his new activity mat.
Fun time in the crib with the new mobile.

Emma hates tummy time as seen in this picture below.

Updates and first walk

James had his appointment with the urologist last week and they feel everything is good right now. We go back when he is 6 months for an ultrasound to make sure the bad kidney continues to shrink and the good kidney has full function.

James and Emma spent their first over night away from their parents. We attended a wedding and Grandma and Grandpa volunteered to keep them in the hotel room next to ours. They all seemed to have a good time and grandma said they were well behaved.

Both kids are still struggling with colic these days. I am not sure who I feel worse for, us or them.
We have had 2 beautiful days so we decided to venture out for our first walk.

We prefer the big bed

Apparently it is much easier to sleep when you are in the big bed versus the crib. I think so as well, but we don't spend much time in it these days. Darcy does not think it is very nice that the little ones have invaded her space.

2 month appointment

James and Emma had their 2 month well visit with the pediatrician. Emma weighs 9lb 6oz and 20 1/2 in long. James weighs 12lb 10oz and is 21 1/2 in long. Both children got a clean bill of health. James is growing faster than they would like so we are cutting back his food and adding some thickener to it to make him feel full. This is a complete change. Up until today, we were suppose to feed him as much and as often as he liked. Hopefully the thickner does the trick because he loves his food.

Both children also have colic so we have about 2 to 3 hours a day where each of them are miserable. Luckily they have never been that way at the same time when I am alone with them. The are considerate that way:)

Guess what is missing from this picture

You got it - the heart rate monitor. Emma had a great report today from the lung center and she only has to use the monitor at night now. We go back in 2 weeks and the doctor feels she will be completely monitor free after that:) She now weighs 9lbs and is 21 inches.

James was to have his appointment with the urologist but we had to postpone until next week.

Well I tried to get some good pictures but the subjects were not very cooperative. Maybe we will try again tomorrow.

Happy New Year!

It will be hard to top 2009 but we are looking forward to 2010. Emma and James had a wonderful Christmas and spent the holiday week traveling and seeing family. We got to spend some time with Great, Great Aunt Louise and a few days with Grandma and Grandpa in New Jersey. We also spent lots of time with the all three aunts.

Emma woke up at midnight and James stayed sound alseep.

January 2 was spent with everyone in their pajamas. James and Emma were exhausted and a little bit crabby. They each took a long 5 hour a nap while we undecorated the house.
We have a very busy week. Tuesday we see the urologist for James and Thursday the lung doctor for Emma. Emma decided to hold her breath today in a fit of rage waiting for her bottle and set off her alarm so we are not very hopeful that she will go off her monitor.
