One Year Check Up and Pumpkin Shopping

James and Emma had their one year check up today. Both are looking great and are right on track developmentally.

James - 24lb 8oz and 29 inches

Emma - 19lb 11oz and 28 inches

Emma gained a pound since her last appt and James gained about a pound in a half. They both grew an inch and a half. They both have the same head circumference 17 3/4.

Both kids got their flu shot but we had to hold off on their once year vaccines because they aren't officially a year yet and because they both are recovering or have a stomach virus. We will take them back in a couple weeks for those.

We were able to get out of the house for a few hours (despite the ongoing stomach virus in our house) and shop for pumpkins for Halloween.

Outdoor fun

We have had a couple of really nice days in Virginia and Emma and James are taking advantage of the good weather to discover grass.

Happy 11 Months!!

We decided to do a football theme for their 11 month photo. We haven't forced them to pick their teams yet, but I am sure James will see the error of his ways and eventually go with the Patriots:) I didn't print out the 11 Month sign for the photo because it would have been destroyed before we even started. No paper is safe in our house.

James and Emma are doing great and growing like weeks. Emma has both of her front teeth now and James will soon be getting his soon. Both of them are crawling and climbing on everything and have the bruises to prove that they aren't quite stable yet. I wouldn't be surprised if both are walking by their first birthday.

James has a two week break from his helmet while he waits for the second one to be molded. Hopefully it will be just a couple months before he is finished. They have their one year appointment at the end of the month so we will get their full stats on height and weight. James will also have another ultrasound to take a look at his bad kidney.

The remotes are not safe either.

Fun weekend with Grandma and Grandpa Reilly

Daddy had some work to do around the house with power tools, so mommy thought it would be best if we took a road trip to Nutley, NJ. We are now crawling and climbing on everything so watching us is a full time job.

We had a great time!! Grandma took us to Turtle Back Zoo where we saw lots of animals and rode on the carousel.

You'd never know it looking at the pictures, but we had a fabulous time on the carousel. It was a little loud and scary at first, but by the end we got the hang of it.

Everyday should end this good with warm bath.
